MTV Runs Disgusting VMA Show - Slimes Palin

The host of the MTV Video Music Awards, Russell Brand, went waaaaaay over the line during his er, performance. Referring to the “retarded cowboy” in the White House and repeatedly flatout calling all John McCain supporters racists, Brand had planned even more disgusting insults, but apparently they were even too much for the exec at MTV.

Via the Telegraph, we learn that Brand has been planning onthe following:

“I had John McCain gags pulled. And they asked me to tone down the gags about Sarah Palin. I wanted to say she was forcing her teenage daughter to have a baby because she is so anti-abortion.

“But also, as a Republican she is pro-execution so she [Palin] is going to give her the electric chair for being a little slut” [Emphasis mine]

Now, I’d ask if these people have no decency, but I think that question has already been answered. Where the Angry Left gets off thinking it’s ok to attack Bristol Palin becaue she has chosen to keep her child is escaping me. But, this is the way the Left thinks of anyone that opposes them - we must be mean, vile people, full of hate and so it’s ok to visciously attack us personally.

I’ve personally experienced this multiple times on campuses. Being called a Nazi (by professors no less who surely have access to history books), spat upon, kicked, shoved, called a fascist - the list goes on. It simply reminds me that the people on the Angry Left can’t stand intellectually toe-to-toe with people on the right and have to resort to these ridiculous (and entirely inaccurate) personal slime games to try and scare the other team off the playing field.

MTV should be ashamed of themselves for allowing their spokesperson during the VMA to so ferociously attack members of their viewing audienc. But alas, they have invited Russell Brand back to host next year’s VMA.

UPDATE: The video doesn’t want to imbed correctly, so here’s the link to it.

Having watched the video again, I should add a couple of things here. After noting he is “bound by broadcasting law to show some balance,” Brand refers to Palin as a VP-ILF, which for those familiar with pop-culture understand to be a degrading sexual reference. Sarah Palin has many accomplishments to point to and is leading a historic charge to the Vice Presidency and all brand could find to say about her is that he thinks he’d like to degrade her some sexually. Disgusting.

Additionally, he goes on to say that he’d like to “fumble, fondle, I don’t know” Sarah Palin.

But this wasn’t enough for MTV. Brand wasn’t through before encouraging his audience to have “joyful, unprotected sex.” Vile, discouraging, disappointing, and sad.
